Viorel Hodre's "K" Sculpture Unveiled
Viorels' 16' x 16' (yes, feet not inches) sculptural lamp was unveiled at Studio at Colton on Saturday, March 14, 2009. The illuminated rattan and rice paper piece hangs in the foyer of the building, nearly filling the ceiling of the room. Viorel states that he installed the sculpture in gratitude for the studio that allowed it to be created, and in memory of a neighborhood challenged but unbowed by the power of Hurricane Katrina.
Viorel Hodre is a resident artist at Studio at Colton.
